“At long last”在口语中似乎不算太多见，但是在曾经热映的一部美国大片《The Avengers: Age of Ultron》中，就出现了这么一句台词：”At long last is lasting a little long, boys”。如果你对at long last不熟悉，还真不太容易听懂这句电影台词。
其实，at long last的意思是：总算、终于。相当于：finally (after difficulty, delay, irritation) 。也许at long last源自于短语at last? (It’s just my guess, though)。
